THE MACDONALD MINUTES

Hello everyone,

If you are unaware, we are in the middle of a very divided time in our country. Political issues dividing the nation. People fighting, arguing, bickering, each side of each argument not hearing others out. There are riots in our major cities, and people need true clarity. I do not know who all of you voted for in this last election, and I do not need to. But to help bring some much-needed clarity to this whole situation, I want to tell you where my vote went, and will continue to go every single day.

I vote to follow the Almighty King over this president, and over all of the other presidents to come (1 Timothy 6:15). I vote to have faith in the one true Judge (James 4:12), no matter what justices come to power.

I vote to place the leadership of my elders (1 Thessalonians 5:12-13; Hebrews 13:7) over any of the elected governors, senators, and representatives when it comes to matters of eternity. I vote to give my loyalty to the Lord’s church over the nation (Acts 5:29), no matter where this nation is heading.

I vote to trust in the Lord for my family’s needs (Matthew 6:25-34), not for an elected leader to fix our economy. I vote to put forth more effort into bringing people to God’s perfect nation (Matthew 28:18-20). I vote to love my neighbor, despite our disagreements on political issues (Mark 12:31).

I vote for THE God of all glory, majesty, power, love, wisdom, kindness, and perfection. I vote for THE God who shed His lifeblood on the cross for me. I vote to be a Christian first, and an American second.

This is my vote. What’s yours?
